Day 1: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast commence safari and drive towards the north to Tarangire. Tarangire National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and September, the dry period. During this time thousands of animals- wildebeest, buffalo, and Oryx migrate from the dry Maasai steeple to the Tarangire River looking for water. Lion, leopard and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds. Have lunch and take a late afternoon game viewing drive returning for dinner and overnight at Holiday Fig Resort Campsite/Lake Manyara Lilac Campsite.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the crater and spend the full day. One of the World’s largest Calderas, 20 km wide, Ngorongoro Crater is also one of the best Wildlife viewing areas where Black Rhinos can be seen in Tanzania. The crater at 2.286 m above sea level is the largest unbroken Calderas in the world. Surrounded by very steep walls, rising 610 m from the crate floor, it covers 260 km2 and is home to over 30.000 animals, almost half of them being zebra and wildebeest. Ngorongoro is listed as a World Heritage site. Returning for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Simba A Campsite.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
At 06h30 start to take a game drive to Lobo in the remote Northern Serengeti. The Lobo area is one of the natural pathways for the yearly migration of the wildebeests. This area has one of the highest concentrations of lion in Africa. Overnight is spent at Lobo Campsite.

Day 4: Lake Victoria
Up at 05h30 and drive toward Lake Victoria by 06h30. As the lake itself breaks into view. It is much more like a sea than a lake, a tropical sea. During the sunsets, and they can be astonishing at times, both sky and lake glow together in a magnificent explosion of theatrical light. Excursions in boats and on mountain bikes are offered, so you can truly experience Africa. You can fish from the beach for Tilapia, go out in a boat to catch Nile perch, or wander around on the Lodge's 100 hectares of savannah, looking for birds. Overnight at Serengeti Stop Over campsite/Ndabaka Lodge Campsite

Day 5: Serengeti National Park
The morning is spent game viewing in the northern Serengeti. During the afternoon move to the Seronera, the central Serengeti, with game viewing en-route, overnight at Seronera Campsite. Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world with columns of wildebeest, head to tail, trudging along their traditional migration routes.

This is an ideal place to take a Balloon Safari over the Serengeti.
(Balloon safaris and breakfasts in the bush can be organised by prior arrangements.)

This beautiful park is at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and comprises of forest, woodland, grasslands, and swamps. Transfer to Marangu to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, or fly to the exotic 'spice island' Zanzibar to relax on white sands and experience some of the world’s finest diving.

Trip Highlights

This is a camping safari with a cultural interest. (Includes Lake Victoria) This safari begins and ends in Arusha.

Arusha National Park - Day Trip

The closest national park to Arusha town – northern Tanzania’s safari capital – Arusha National Park is a multi-faceted jewel, often overlooked by safarigoers, despite offering the opportunity to explore a beguiling diversity of habitats within a few hours.

The entrance gate leads into shadowy montane forest inhabited by inquisitive blue monkeys and colourful turacos and trogons – the only place on the northern safari circuit where the acrobatic black-and-white colobus monkey is easily seen. In the midst of the forest stands the spectacular Ngurdoto Crater, whose steep, rocky cliffs enclose a wide marshy floor dotted with herds of buffalo and warthog.
